§ Mrs. Gillian Shephard[holding answer 25 June 1990]: In the year 1 April 1989 to 31 March 1990, 149–34 home visits were made per 1,000 income support claimants. Specialist visits, including those for the purpose of investigating suspected fraud, have been excluded from the calculation.
