§ Mr. DorrellThe planned expenditure on health education in 1990–91 by the Health Education Authority is £26.8 million.
It is not possible to quantify the proportion of total regional allocations spent on health education by each regional health authority since so much of it is integral to health service activity.
The Department also provides funding under section 64 of the Health Services and Public Health Act 1968, for a large number of voluntary bodies, many of which undertake health education as part of their overall role.
