§ Mrs. RumboldA sum of £10,000 was spent on power factor correction equipment at our Darlington headquarters building in the 1989–90 financial year. This builds on the sum of £28,000 spent by the PSA on electrical lighting control sensors at the same site in the previous financial year.
Capital expenditure on energy saving equipment for the Department's London headquarters site is not justified, as there is insufficient time left to recover the financial outlay that would be necessary before our impending move to new premises.
