To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what assessments under The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations have been undertaken at all workplaces used by civil servants and members of Her Majesty's armed services in his Department.

Assessments of workplaces under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1988 were initiated on 1 October 1989. The assessments are carried out in accordance with the guidance given by the Health and Safety Executive.
