§ Mr. RyderHer Majesty's Customs and Excise checks the entitlement of imports from China to the beneficial rates of duty under the European Community generalised system of preferences. Some imports are selected for verification, and in the event of any infringement of the European Community origin rules appropriate action is taken, which includes the charging of full duty.
