What have been the nominal and real changes respectively in the exchange rate between the pound sterling and the German mark since 1976.

Nominal sterling/deutschmark exchange rates can be found in Table 13.1 ofFinancial Statistics, published monthly by the Central Statistical Office. There is no single definition of real exchange rates. The IMF publishes several measures of real effective exchange rates in International Financial Statistics. Various bilateral real exchange rates can be constructed using the various price series compiled by the IMF and OECD.
