§ Mrs. Gillian ShephardDetails of the studies conducted from 1986–87 are shown in the tables. The costs of individual studies are not given, as that could breach commercial confidentiality. Information on the outcome of studies is not collected centrally, and this and information on studies prior to 1986–87 could be provided at disproportionate cost. As the studies prior to April 1989 were undertaken on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Security, some do not relate solely to social security matters.
