§ Mrs. RumboldThe report of the House of Lords Select Committee on the European Communities on European schools and language learning in United Kingdom schools was published on 15 May. My right hon. Friend will be studying the report carefully before responding. In doing so, he will wish to take account of the forthcoming final report of the national curriculum working group on modern foreign languages, which is expected to be completed by the end of July and will be published later in the summer.
