§ Mr. AtkinsTraffic speed depends on the volume of traffic which can vary with time of day and day of week. Such variation is different for different motorways. The responsibility for the enforcement of road traffic laws on all roads, including motorways, is a matter for individual chief officers of police. Chief officers are committed to effective motorway enforcement.
