§ Mrs. RumboldThe School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Order 1990, a draft of which is presently before Parliament, will give effect to the recommendations of the interim advisory committee on teachers' pay in 1990–91. When those recommendations are fully implemented, from 1 January 1991, teachers' salary scales will be as follows:

Assimilation of existing heads and deputies onto the new salary structure will be dependent on their old spot salary. Thereafter the positioning of heads and deputies within the range applicable to their school will be determined by their local education authority or school governing body.
