To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the slaughterhouses that were visited by European Community inspectors in 1989 and 1990; if he will indicate which have had their approval suspended; and if he will make a statement.

Two of the slaughterhouses listed are currently suspended from engaging in intra-Community trade in sheepmeat. The suspension is applied until structural or operational requirements are attended to and it would not be appropriate to identify those plants that may be suspended at any one time.
