To ask the Minister for the Arts if he will make a statement on the planned use for the northern area of the British library site at St. Pancras.

Any land at the British library site at St. Pancras which may ultimately be surplus to requirements will be sold. The area of land which will be surplus and the optimum timing and method of its disposal are still being examined.
