HL Deb 24 July 1990 vol 521 c1438WA
Lord Denning

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Following the Answer of Earl Ferrers on 10th July (HL Deb., col. 256), in respect of those schools which were sold without any scheme, whether the Charity Commissioners have any information as to those sales and what was done with the proceeds of sales and, if they have no such information, whether they will take steps to obtain it.

Earl Ferrers

The Charity Commissioners hold information relating to the sales of some former Church of England schools where the commissioners have not subsequently made a scheme to provide for the application of the sale proceeds, but this information is not held centrally and could only be made available at disproportionate cost.
