HC Deb 19 July 1990 vol 176 c673W
Q104. Dr. Godman

To ask the Prime Minister if Her Majesty's Government have any proposals to modify or change the legal procedures concerning the evidence of children on commission in criminal proceedings; and if she will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

The Government are giving careful consideration to the recommendations of the Scottish Law Commission in its recent report on the evidence of children and other potentially vulnerable witnesses; and, for England and Wales, to the comments received on the report of Judge Pigot's advisory group on video evidence. We shall announce our proposals as soon as possible.
