To ask the Prime Minister what has been the increase in police manpower in Clwyd and Wales since June 1987.

The Prime Minister

Since June 1987 the North Wales police, which includes Clwyd, has had 35 extra police posts approved by my right hon. and learned Friend the Home Secretary. In the same period a total of 125 extra police posts have been approved for forces in Wales.
