To ask the Secretary of State for Health when was the latest occasion on which he or his predecessors made an order under section 36 of the National Assistance Act 1948 declaring a local authority to be in default.

As far as I am aware, the default powers in section 36 of the National Assistance Act 1948 have never been formally invoked.
