§ Mr. Michael SpicerMy right hon. Friend has no plans to modify the Government's policy on calling in planning applications for his decision. That policy was set out by my right hon. Friend the Member for Cirencester and Tewkesbury in reply to a question from my hon. Friend the Member for Hornsey and Wood Green (Sir H. Rossi) on 5 May 1987. I am satisfied that the procedures for operating that policy generally work well, and I have no present plans to review them.
