HC Deb 31 January 1990 vol 166 c203W
Mr. Couchman

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what arrangements are being made to finance the cost of Sir John May's inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the convictions arising out of the bomb attacks in Guildford and Woolwich in 1974.

Mr. Waddington

Parliamentary approval to expenditure on this inquiry will be sought in a Supplementary Estimate for the Home Office Vote for administration etc. (class XI, vote 3). Pending that approval, expenditure estimated at £222,000 will be met by a repayable advance from the Contingencies Fund.
