To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received over his Department's revised policy on charging for school visits.

Letters to the Department about the new law, which include requests for clarification as well as expressions of opinion, have reduced considerably in recent months. It is clear that many schools are managing well within the new arrangements, but we are continuing to monitor the situation.
