§ Mr. MacleanThe Government plan to introduce orders on the welfare of farm livestock and horses at markets and an amendment of the transport legislation in respect of unfit animals. We are also planning new regulations on the protection of livestock on farms and at the point of slaughter. Proposed Community controls will also require implementing legislation in due course.
