§ Mr. Archie HamiltonAs part of the United Kingdom's active and practical support for the negotiations in Geneva for a comprehensive, global and verification chemical weapons convention, the Ministry of Defence, together with other Departments concerned, is undertaking work on various aspects of the verification technology which will be needed to underpin the convention. This includes the evaluation of non-intrusive techniques such as X-ray, ultrasonics or neutron activation analysis.
