To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the Government's target for inflation for the last quarter of 1991.

§ Mr. Ryder
The Government do not set specific targets for the rate of inflation. Tight monetary policy, supported by a firm fiscal position, will ensure that inflation moderates from its current level.
