§ Mr. MellorI refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to the hon. Member for Huddersfield (Mr. Sheerman) on 20 December 1989 at column270. I am arranging for details of the current membership of the board of visitors for each prison establishment in England and Wales to be placed in the Library but it would not be appropriate, without seeking their individual consent, to indicate those who are members of ethnic minorities.
The Co-ordinating Committee of Boards of Visitors considers and raises matters of common concern to boards with the Department.
