§ Mrs. RumboldBefore considering whether amendment is necessary, my right hon. Friend has instructed the Department to commission a survey of schools in the summer term to monitor any changes in the pattern of school activities since 1988. If there is evidence that activities are not taking place as a result of the legislation, my right hon. Friend will see how best he can help schools. He has no plans at present to amend the law.
