Mr. Vaz

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations he has had from police forces concerning the effect of the Crown prosecution service on the police's operations.

The Association of Chief Police Officers has made representations about the effect of the Crown prosecution service's requirements as to the content and presentation of paperwork. An interdepartmental group has recently been established to examine this and other pre-trial issues.
