Mr. Curry

[holding answer 19 February 1990]: During refurbishment of the building, one room is being furnished to serve mainly as a conference room and to double as a dining room when necessary. The cost of works and furnishings is approximately £8,500. The kitchen replaces a wholly inadequate kitchen facility. The cost of units. appliances and works is approximately £9,800. The work was carried out by a British firm following competitive tender. All the kitchen units are of British manufacture and mainly of British wood.
