§ Mr. Teddy Taylor
To ask the Prime Minister if she will raise at the next meeting of the European Council the responsibility for the cost to the European Economic Community of admitting new member states, including East Germany.

§ The Prime Minister
There is a consensus within the EC that no decisions on applications for membership of the EC will be possible until at least 1993. The implications of German unity for the EC will of course be discussed fully within the Community.
