Mr. Cox

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many(a) men and (b) women are awaiting interview at the British embassy in Bangkok for consideration for entry into the United Kingdom either as husbands or wives of British citizens.

Mr. Sainsbury

As at 13 February 1990 there were two men and 97 women awaiting settlement interviews at the embassy in Bangkok.
