Particulars of the numbers of children on child protection registers—some of whom are also in the care of local authorities—are contained in the "Survey of Children and Young Persons on Child Protection Registers", copies of which are also available in the Library. Information is not collected centrally about the numbers of child care cases not supervised by local authority social workers.
