§ Mr. Alan ClarkKrauss Maffei is aware that we are seeking industrial participation proposals from potential overseas suppliers competing for the Chieftain replacement requirement. The company will accordingly be undertaking a round of seminars as part of its marketing strategy to improve its knowledge of the United Kingdom defence market and to identify possible United Kingdom subcontractors. As with General Dynamics earlier, the Defence Export Services Organisation, in consultation with local chambers of commerce and regional development authorities, will be assisting Krauss Maffei in organising these seminars.
