HC Deb 12 February 1990 vol 167 c83W
Mr. Wigley

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security what plans he has to meet the needs of very severly disabled people with high care cost.

Mr. Scott

The arrangements proposed in "Caring for People" (Cm. 849) by my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Health are designed to enable local authorities to provide help with the care needs of very severely disabled people. Financial help with the costs of domestic assistance and personal care is currently also available through the independent living fund.
