HC Deb 09 February 1990 vol 166 c820W
Mr. Simon Hughes

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what are the latest figures for the number of people living in bed-and-breakfast accommodation.

Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

There are no figures available for the total number of people living in bed-and-breakfast accommodation. It is estimated, however, that the number of households placed in such accommodation by local authorities under the provisions of part II of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987 was 295 at 30 September 1989.
