Mr. O'Brien

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what advice he gives to regional and district health authorities on the distribution of Government funds to the voluntary hospice movement; and if he will make a statement.

We shall shortly be notifying health authorities of the allocations they will receive for this purpose, and giving guidance on its distribution.

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what advice he has given to the Five Towns Plus hospice organisation as to how to obtain contributions from Government funds to help maintain the Five Towns hospice; and if he will make a statement.

The funding of individual projects is a matter for discussion between the health authorities and the organisations concerned.

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what amount from Government funds has been allocated to help the voluntary hospice movement in the Wakefield and Pontefract areas; and if he will make a statement.
