To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the progress of international efforts to achieve peace in Somalia.

The achievement of peace in Somalia must be primarily a matter for the Somali people. We continue to support all constructive efforts to promote this process. Regrettably there is little sign of progress so far.
