§ Mr. DewarTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the current estimate of the total fees which will be paid by his Department in connection with the privatisation of the Scottish electricity industry to the end of March 1989, for the current year, and in total.
§ Mr. RifkindExpenditure to the end of March 1989 amounted to £2. million and the revised provision for the current year is £4-.95 million. Latest forecasts of requirements for 1990–91 will be published as part of the Supply Estimates in March. The overall costs of privatisation will be made available once flotation has been completed.
