To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the number of designated hill farms within the constituency of East Kilbride.

The number of agricultural holdings classified as less favoured within the constituency of East Kilbride is estimated to be 247. The figure is, however, approximate since parish boundaries (on which records of holdings are based) do not necessarily coincide exactly with constituency boundaries.
