Mr. Livsey

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what is the present number of school students that are currently educated through the medium of the Welsh language, in each county education authority in Wales both primary and secondary.

At September 1988 the number of pupils educated through the medium of Welsh was as shown in the table:

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales whether he will make it a statutory requirement for all Welsh principal local authorities to publish notices and forms bilingually.
