To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a further statement on the work of the new joint arms control implementation group.

My hon. Friend the Minister of State for the Armed Forces explained the role of the joint arms control implementation group in his written answer on 6 March at column622. The group is responsible to the Secretary of State for Defence for practical implementation of our obligations and exercise of our rights in the verification of arms control agreements.
