§ The Attorney-GeneralThe Crown prosecution service is currently considering a report received from the Metropolitan police on 4 December 1990. That report requires careful consideration and further inquiries may be requested. It is not therefore possible at this stage to give a firm indication of when a decision on whether to institute criminal proceedings will be taken. Once a decision has been taken I will write to the hon. Member informing him of that decision.
