§ Mr. Heathcoat-AmoryIn recognition that some consumers may experience genuine difficulties paying their bills, the licences issued to the public electricity suppliers have strengthened the protections against disconnection offered to such consumers. The Director General of Electricity Supply is responsible for overseeing the implementation of these safeguards.
