§ Mr. MellorCommunity charges vary widely according to the area in which households happen to live; their entitlement to transitional relief; and their entitlement to community charge benefit. Information on the relationship between these net payments and gross income will be available in due course from sample surveys such as the 1990 family expenditure survey.
