§ Mr. MeacherTo ask the Lord President of the Council what progress has been made on the feasibility study regarding a workplace nursery in the House; and if he has yet consulted the staff unions regarding carrying out the study and establishment of the nursery.
§ Mr. MacGregorIt is understood that the feasibility study by the Administration Department on the provision of child care facilities has been completed and is to be considered by the Services Committee at its next meeting. Copies of the study have already been made available to the trade union side of the House of Commons Whitley136W Committee, and there will be a further consultation with it and with other relevant staff organisations once the Services Committee has responded.
