To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what recent representations he has received regarding the greenhouse effect.

Mr. Trippier

A paper on the greenhouse effect, prepared by the European Commission, was discussed at the Environment Council meeting on 22 March when my right hon. Friend made a number of suggestions for positive action by the Community.
