§ Mr. HowardI last met my European Community counterparts at an informal meeting of EC Labour and Social Affairs Ministers in Dublin on 1 and 2 March. Our discussions covered action to assist the long-term unemployed, and training assistance for eastern Europe.
At the meeting I secured a commitment from the EC Commission to make regular reports to the Council of Ministers on member states' records in implementing European legislation.
