§ Mrs. Margaret EwingTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list in theOfficial Report those organisations which responded to the consultation paper on Action on Dogs.

§ Mrs. Margaret EwingTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what direction his Department has given to the working group discussing Action on Dogs; and whether any representatives of the British Veterinary Association are to be invited to give evidence.
§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonThe working group's remit will be discussed at its first meeting which we hope will be held later this month. The remit will be broad and will cover not only advice on the implementation of our Action on Dogs proposals but also the investigation of other measures which could strengthen the existing legislation on dogs, including measures which could help reduce the risk of dog attacks. The British Veterinary Association has been asked to nominate a representative to serve on the group.
