§ Mr. Michael ForsythThe number of staff of health boards who have become redundant as a result of contracts awarded to private contractors in the period to 1 October 1989 is shown in the table. There have been no redundancies for this reason in other health boards. The vast majority of those made redundant were offered posts by the successful private contractors and a substantial proportion of those took up the offer of employment.
