HC Deb 23 October 1989 vol 158 c319W
Mr. Frank Field

To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many conversion to first-level nursing places are currently on offer to enrolled nurses throughout the United Kingdom.

Mr. Mellor

[holding answer 19 October 1989]: We do not hold this information centrally. Information supplied by the English National Board for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting shows that in England the number of schools of nursing approved to conduct conversion courses have increased from six at 31 March 1986 to 145 at 31 March 1989.
