To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what are the latest figures for the growth of real personal disposable income for the latest year for which figures are available.

In the four quarters up to the second quarter of 1989, real personal disposable income is estimated to have been 4.8 per cent. higher than in the year up to the second quarter of 1988.
