§ Mr. LangInformation on authorities' spending on school board elections and by-elections is not yet available. It is for individual authorities themselves to decide how much they spend on each element of their programmes within the overall resources available to them. Specific account was taken of authorities' estimates of the administrative costs of setting up and running school boards in the revenue support grant settlement for 1989–90.
