§ Mr. McFallTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport what measures are being taken to ensure that an integrated transport system is established so that all parts of the country benefit from the opening of the Channel tunnel.
§ Mr. PortilloGood road and rail links to the Channel tunnel will be available when it opens. Users will have a choice of modes to suit their needs. British Rail will shortly be publishing a plan setting out its current proposals for Channel tunnel passenger and freight services in accordance with section 40 of the Channel Tunnel Act.
